@zerowastedaniel:

They say a picture is worth 1000 words, but I just need three. ZERO WASTE DANIEL. no matter who you are, or where you are in the world, these three pictures mean the same thing. I love that! It’s also fitting because no matter where you are in the world, zero waste is possible for all of us. It’s not about you Living a specific way or eating a certain way or doing a certain kind of job, or about me making one style of clothing for everyone, it’s about all of us having the opportunity and the right to live in a world that is considered, well thought out, and where each of us can do our part to make the best products and experiences for the rest of our community and in turn, live with intention and respect. It’s something any of us can strive for and all of us deserve. It’s in all of our futures, around the globe. With cities, countries, local governments, and personal action, we are seeing zero waste goals and initiatives sparking around the world... it’s more than an idea, it’s a movement, and it’s a message that I am happy to hang my hat on! 0️⃣ 🗑 🙋🏻‍♂️❤️

Have you ever blacked out, or block something completely out of your memory? You know an experience that was so Trumatic or awful that you know it happened and you know you were there but it’s like a bad movie you were asleep during you just kinda can’t remember it… Well for me it’s fashion shows. Every time I do a fashion show I’m sort of like… What just happened? I work for weeks to make all of these clothes and then I threw them a weird party??? So I don’t do fashion shows anymore, I figure I’ve beat the system, I’m doing comedy now. But then inevitably something happens the jogs your memory and it all comes flooding back. And you end up having a déjà vu. Well, this show started with a major déjà vu moment. Well, about five years ago I Produce the fashion show as part of a fundraiser, it was... awkward. It was at a big fancy bar in the city, and everyone was laughing and drinking and having a great time raising money for a good cause. And then, in the middle of the event, the fashion show was supposed to be the main entertainment. But it kind of killed the vibe. Nobody wanted to stop and watch a fashion show, the music was totally wrong for the setting, the models were really in the way of the guests, and drunk guys kept going up to them and hitting on them in the middle of the show. The worst part? I had to go out at the end of the show and do a designer wave 👋🏼 Less of a “thank you” for watching in more of like a “sorry” for bing here... needless to say, I blocked it out. So, when I got to Taj lounge to set up for my second New York fashion week comedy show, I walked in and saw the high ceilings, the Budos, the cabana tables, and I breathe it in the smell of a freshly cleaned New York City bar and I thought to myself… I’ve been here before, I’ve done a charity fashion show here before… well, Taj, thanks for having me back! And now that I’m back from the blackout here are the first few photos from the show! Thank you to @thefashionfoundation @thechelseapiers @mario_carte.blanche @wriggit and everyone who made this event coming together! 📸 @maeghandonohue @placetohideplacetohustle

ZWDxPixelbook Workshop featuring @yeahitschill

December 21, 2018

Now that the #ZWDxPixelbook Pop Up is in full swing, the shop has an incredible education space, and is hosting a series of workshops  where we are partnering with different artists to design your own patch on Pixelbook and take home a 100% recycled Zero Waste Daniel patch!

My talented friend, Christine Rai, the artist behind webcomic @yeahitschill, and I hosted the first of three interactive workshops at the #zwdxpixelbook Pop Up last Saturday, December 15th.!

I used Pixelbook to turn her art into templates for our community to design their own patch. Our participants were able to, customize, color and transform their designs they made on Pixelbook into one of a kind patches made from 100% recycled materials!

They turned out AMAZING! - Now they can be ironed on, stitched on, framed, gifted and cherished!

Sign up for our email list here to be the first to know when Sign Ups open for our next workshop, January 12 & January 19th!
