behind the scenes: THE PHOENIX
Hey blog, I'm back again!
and you guessed it! It's another installment in my blog series: behind the scenes of Sustainable Fashion is a cabaret! This time I'll be talking about the look worn by none other than the nightlife icon, Yvie Oddly titled The Phoenix.
During my NYFW event showcasing my new collection, Yvie Oddly captivated the audience with a spellbinding and emotionally charged performance of Shirley Bassey’s rendition of “My Way,” embodying both power and grace.
Yvie's look, aptly named "The Phoenix," was an elaborate gown adorned with textile feathers and florals, fading from vibrant pinks to rich purples, with the intricate feather details flowing all the way to the floor. I crafted every element of the garment by hand—each feather barb, each petal—imbued with my utmost care and intention.
While the gown itself was a work of opulence, it was Yvie’s electrifying presence that truly animated it, turning the performance and the gown into an unforgettable, living masterpiece. The bouquet brooch worn by Yvie is available for purchase!
In my newest collection inspired by the cabaret, the companion pieces to The Phoenix look are a reversible mixed print / black 'all-over reroll' bomber jacket and matching cross body bag! Like a phoenix rising, these pieces are all about transformation! Snag your own jacket or bag on my site, available in sizes XS to 3XL!
