Do I qualify for an internship at zwd?
Internships are offered on a rolling basis for currently enrolled students eligiable for school credit for their internship hours.
Do I need to be in a specific major to apply?
We accept interns with a concentration in Design, Sustainability, Business & Marketing. Regardless of your major, please feel free to apply for the concentration that best suits your relevant experience.
What does an internship at zwd entail?
From design to production to customer service, our interns experience a mix of regular daily activities as well as business building, problem solving and brand collaborations. Whether it's sorting fabrics, copying patterns, sourcing in New York City's Garment District, or assisting on a photoshoot, each day at zwd is a dynamic growth opportunity!
are interns paid?
The zwd internship is unpaid and for school credit only. In this learning environment, you will not be expected to "know it all" or do any type of garment production.
From observation to assistance, you are here to learn on site and gain firsthand knowledge and hands on experience.
Do I need to be in Brooklyn for my internship?
Yes, interns are required to be on-site and must be available for a minimum of 2 days (10am-6pm M-F) per week for a full semester.
