I hope y'all are having a great week! I wanted to share the very exciting news that ZWD has adopted! ... a bit of New York sidewalk! We have officially taken responsibility of a public spot in the city through the "Adopt Your Spot NYC" initiative brought to our attention by @foodbabysoul!
For those who might not be familiar, "Adopt Your Spot NYC" is a groundbreaking and innovative program put on by the Sanitation Foundation that encourages individuals, businesses, and organizations to take responsibility for the cleanliness of a specific location in the city. By adopting a spot, participants commit to keeping that area litter-free and well-maintained, contributing to a cleaner and more beautiful New York City.
As a business deeply rooted in the zero-waste movement, we understand that every small action can lead to significant change. That's why we’ve adopted a spot right here in our neighborhood, in front of our store. Our team is dedicated to regularly cleaning our adopted location, ensuring that it's free of litter and looks its best. But our commitment goes beyond just picking up trash—we see this as an opportunity to raise awareness about waste reduction and the importance of sustainable practices. We all have the power to pick up the trash littering our beautiful city.
We believe that taking care of our city is a shared responsibility, and we're excited to set an example for others.
