For the free spirits and dreamers, a jacket that’s all about taking flight.
-
Sustainably sourced denim jacket featuring all-over leather crane motif.
- Crafted in our Brooklyn studio by Daniel.
- True to size.
- Spot clean or wash cold on a delicate setting. Hang to dry.
The crane jacket is inspired by the grace, strength, and quiet power of the crane itself. This piece reflects the way a single, striking motif can transform scraps into something poetic. The hand cut and hand stitched crane silhouette becomes the focal point, creating movement and dimension across the garment.
Every element of the jacket is crafted with intention. The appliqué work is built from rescued materials, shaped and layered to create a sense of lift and lightness. The lines of the wings, the curve of the neck, and the interplay of textures all contribute to a feeling of motion and presence.
This jacket is designed to feel bold yet wearable. It brings together art and utility in a way that highlights the beauty of reuse. The crane icon stands as a symbol of resilience and hope, turning the jacket into a piece that feels meaningful, expressive, and made to last.

DESCRIPTION:
- All models are wearing "men's" size S.
-
Made out of 100% pre-consumer cutting room scraps, design room waste and leftover materials. This is the stuff that is usually sent to landfill BEFORE it is ever turning into clothing. It may be the excess fabric of a brand's order, something that was dyed the 'wrong' color, or just a discard after design changes! At ZWD we always use fabrics that have never been previously used or worn.
-
Every zero waste daniel product is made using a closed loop production system and technique called ‘ReRoll’. All scraps are kept until they’ve been used.
-
By purchasing a ZWD piece, you are supporting: a reduction in textile pollution, fair labor practices, and a sustainable fashion habit.
-
No two pieces are ever exactly alike. Our unique ReRoll process ensures that the placement of fabric will always be different, but we always create with stretch fabrics of similar weights that fit within the same color palette and design. Your piece will be unique to you, but very much resemble what's pictured on the website!

This item is hand made to order in our Brooklyn studio and ships within 2 weeks.
